Dr. Erin Coris
DVM
Dr. Erin LeRay Coris was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1976. She moved frequently during her early years, but finished high school in Coral Springs, FL before going on to the University of Florida. There she found a love of science and medicine and began working with both the human Tissue Bank and multiple animal research projects. After graduating from UF’s undergraduate program, Dr. Coris attended University of Florida’s Veterinary School and graduated in 2003. During that time, she met her husband and they both accepted jobs in Brevard County after graduation.
In 2008, she and her husband bought Island Animal Hospital and she moved from Rockledge to join the clinic. Dr. Coris opened the second clinic, Island Animal Hospital at Viera, located in Viera, in the spring of 2012. Her focus is small animal and exotic medicine/surgery, preventative medicine and radiology. She enjoys running, reading, playing the piano and spending time with her husband Matt, their children, McKenna and Keaton, their dog Kaylee, Chameleon Pascal and Moluccan Cockatoo Cricket.
