Dr. Danford

Dr. Sofie Danford
DVM

Dr. Danford received her DVM from the University of Florida. She also has her certificate in Aquatic Animal Health from UF’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Danford was initially interested in pursuing marine animal medicine due to her love for the ocean and desire to help conserve it. But after working at a small animal clinic in Seattle, she realized how much she likes working not only with companion animals, but their human family members, too. It brings her great joy to foster the human-animal bond on a daily basis. The most rewarding part of Dr. Danford’s career so far has been forming relationships with clients and pets, and being able to care for animals on a long-term basis. She loves seeing familiar faces and being able to provide follow-up care.

Dr. Danford shares her home with several pets: Raleigh, a Golden/Corgi mix; Nori and Tuna, both domestic shorthair cats; and Plumb, a leopard gecko. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, yoga, and hanging out at the beach.
