Jamie Williams

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Jamie is a Vet Tech Assistant at our Viera location. After an accident in 2014 changed her life, she was introduced to animal-related programs while in prison, including training service dogs and working on a retirement farm for ex-racehorses. This experience ignited a passion for the veterinary field and led her to pursue a career caring for animals.

She holds a degree in Equine Technology and is a Florida Accredited Advanced Dog Trainer. At home, Jamie has a Whippet/Dachshund mix named Squid. The most rewarding part of her position is the opportunity for continuous learning and growth.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, and crafts. She takes pride in maintaining a positive mindset and continuing her personal growth, which she considers her greatest life accomplishment. One of her favorite things is Greek food, and she appreciates the supportive and collaborative environment at Island Animal.
